Keeping copiers clean and tidy has many benefits for any business, such as preventing the spread of germs and viruses that may cause illness. It is important, therefore, to keep the exteriors of copiers clean and disinfected at all times. Here are some tips to do that.
1. Cleaning materials - Do not use bleach or ammonia-based chemicals to clean copiers. Alcohol may be used but the mixture of alcohol and water should not be stronger than 70 percent isopropyl alcohol. Use a clean cloth to wipe the machine and avoid using paper towels because they may leave residues that may cause problems in the future.
2. Actual cleaning - Spraying cleaning solutions directly onto the machine is not advisable. Instead, moisten a piece of microfiber cleaning cloth with the cleaning solution and gently wipe the machine’s exteriors. Do not apply too much pressure on the buttons. As much as possible, keep moisture away from the machine to prevent damage to the interior, especially its electrical connections.
3. Frequency of cleaning - How often the copier should be cleaned depends on the amount of traffic it gets. However, it is better to wipe the machine’s panel each time it is used to keep germs and viruses away.
